That´s what the owner of this very peculiar apartment told us. Along with her baby and her dog, we went on a tour with her. What my son learns when playing with dolls
November 16, 2015  |  Written by M. Rodrigo Brao

Dolls are wonderful toys that all children (including boys) should engage with. They allow kids to understand themselves better and the world that surrounds them. However, when we see boys playing with dolls, we get all anxious. Just like Jonathan Alpert states in this interesting article published by the Huffington Post, this is very common among parents. And it has to do with fear. Fear that if they feel a desire to brush Nancy´s hair, dress a Barriguitas or take care of a Nenuco, they´ll be inclined towards homosexuality. But, rest assured, children, all children, like to play with dolls and that is perfectly normal.

School is more fun with this Barriguitas game
October 14, 2015  |  Written by M. Rodrigo Brao

There are many children who just don’t want to go back to school and parents’ don´t really know what to do to control their anger or temper tantrums they suffer every morning. Even though this type of behaviour is normal until they adapt to this new situation, it´s important to determine the cause of this negativity. Possible reasons include lack of motivation, tiredness, and problems with classmates or even being victims of bullying. Another reason could be that your kids are required to do more than last year and have to be more autonomous in class, especially for those who transition into elementary school. Towards the end of this post, we offer some tips for those kids who refuse to go to school but before we do: we´d like to show you about a free new online game -Barriguitas School- which will help you motivate them to see school in an entertaining way.

Did you know that Barriguitas has two new stores in their city? The pet store and the pastry shop! Two playsets designed to develop language, imagination, creativity, motor and coordination skills for children 3 to 7 years old. But, these two playsets will also help your kids learn to value things better. Since we live in a consumer world (which encourages us to purchase), we need to teach the little ones to understand the effort required to shop as well as learn to establish priorities when it comes to investing. It may seem like a hard concept to teach the little ones but we can slowly show them as they play. At The Toy Blog, we´d like to share some tips on how to do it with Barriguitas.

Children don´t like going to the doctor’s office but some get terribly afraid just thinking about it. Don´t worry, this is absolutely normal. Remember, the vast majority of people don´t like the idea of being exposed to a stranger. Now, thanks to Famosa toys, you can explain what will happen at the doctor´s office before you go so they´ll know what to expect.
