“The moment of truth has come and my fear has nothing to do with flying or the plane itself. I´m afraid my child going to go bezerk at 28 thousand feet in front of strangers and not being able to do anything about it.”  It might seem a bit over the top but many parents panic when it comes to flying with their children, especially on long flights. But the experience does not have to be a negative one. What you need to do is prepare yourself and your child before you do. With a bit of planning and creativity, your trip will hopefully…fly by.

Nowadays it´s hard to keep up with all the new apps that are created and when you finally sit down and begin to research, one often wonders: “Do I really need this?” The answer is usually no. However, there are apps that change the way you think. This week we´ve discovered 4 apps for babies and 4 for new parents that are practical, educational and entertaining.

If you have sons 4 and over, surely you´ve heard of the famous Mutant Busters by Famosa, those charismatic superheroes whose mission it is to obliterate the Mutants who want to dominate a contaminated planet. The  launch in Spain, Portugal and Italy was last week and the Mutant Busters will soon be expected to reach stores in the US.

If your child had a cell phone, you could send him a text or call him to see where he is or make sure he was aware of a change of plans. Parental surveillance is one of the most important reasons parents  consider buying their children a cell phone. Your son or daughter will also feel more secure and protected knowing you are there, on the other side of the line, especially in case of an emergency. Undoubtedly it´s very convenient for your children to have one but  but nowadays a cell phone is not just a phone. It takes pictures, entertains and is a social tool. Every child wants one and increasingly at a younger age.  According to the Kaiser Family Foundation,  69% of 11-14 year olds and 31% of kids aged 8-10 have cell phones. Experts say that having a cell phone isn´t a question of age, but of necessity. Does your child really need a phone? Is he prepared to have one?
