Berta Dominguez & Little Big Kids: our Wishmakers this month!
September 28, 2015  |  Written by M. Rodrigo Brao

Our Wishmaker this month is Berta Dominguez, founder of Little Big Kids, a creative centre for children located in a cosy, magical house in Madrid, Spain. Ascribed to the Spanish Pedagogy Society, their main mission is to develop innovative thematic workshops (ancient Egypt, Sherlock Holmes, Space Adventures, Art, etc.) where the little ones´ imagination and knowledge is stimulated while they learn about respecting the environment. Although Dominguez spent many years helping companies market products to children (Disney was one of her clients), her dream was to set up a company of her own, where she could offer her “vision of how to interact with kids in a more creative and stimulating way.” Five years later, Little Big Kids is a reality and their core curriculum consists of tailored made activities for schools but it also offers a fantastic alternative to the classic birthday parties! Your kids will probably have never experienced something like it before. As the founder says: “there are nothing like it”. Little Big Kids is a wonderful space. Join us by reading our interview and discover Little Big Kids!

8 ways to say NO without saying NO
May 4, 2015  |  Written by M. Rodrigo Brao

It might sound ridiculous but saying “no” is not the best way to discipline children. Some experts believe that if the use of negation is practiced often enough, we can build resentment in our children and even lay the grounds for a future rebel. According to Audrey Ricker, PHD in psychology and author of ‘Back Talk’, if we constantly say “no”, the word will lose its significance. Instead, it’s preferable to use short, clear and concise sentences to explain to children why they should not do something. Try the following 10 sentences and let us know if they work.

We have our 10 Toy Testers!
July 8, 2014  |  Written by Mónica del Castillo

As you know, in March we launched a campaign in Famosa called Toy Testers with the purpose of bringing a bit of excitement to the most little ones and not that little. It was based on sending a video where kids were playing with any of Famosa toys, any brand could be used, and what we would be evaluating was not the content but how creative and original the video was. The 10 most singular ones would be the winners and they would received in their houses, completely free of charge, the latest and newest Famosa toys.

A few months ago, we launched a new project from Famosa called Toy Testers. What is it for? In order to be able to participate in the contest you only need to send us a video where we can see your kids playing with any of our Famosa Toys. It does not matter the content of the video, but the imagination and creativity you put on it. The winners of the contest, which will be 10 kids, would have the opportunity to become a real Toy Tester and will receive in their houses completely free of charge the newest product collection we will be launching in a few months, and only in exchange of your personal opinion.

We are looking for Toy Testers!
March 19, 2014  |  Written by Marta García López

In today´s world, video is becoming the preferred way of explaining ideas, sharing opinions and storytelling. There is no longer a need for large productions as people search and share videos according to their originality, creativity, the different ways in which these ideas and stories are told and how inspiring they are. Social networks, especially YouTube, have made it possible for content to spread around the web via word of mouth, aka viral.

On behalf of Famosa, we feel fortunate and surprised whenever we discover “gems” that our fans have uploaded onto the web like the one with this fan representing a 12 hours flight with her Pinypon or this other one, so original, representing Titanic. We loved them! Take a look and tell us what you think?

We feel so grateful to have inspired these amazing videos that we´ve decided to create a very special project in order to award the fans that make them. Would you like your son or daughter to become a Toy Tester?

Your opinion is so valuable to us that we would like you to join in on the final launch stage of our new products. How? It´s very easy! We will send you our latest toys absolutely free of charge in exchange for a video that includes your children´s opinion of the toy and yours. Each and every toy that is sent has the quality and safety approval by Famosa.

We are looking for 10 Toy Testers! If you want your child to be one of them, contact us via mail at and tell us why they should be chosen. Send us videos or pictures in which your kid tells us why they like playing with our toys, their game ideas OR their favourite games, what they like about Famosa, how they spend their free time… We´ll chose the 10 most original videos and most talented reviewers.

We hope this project inspires you as much as it inspires us! We will be anxiously awaiting your fantastic ideas! :)
