Fun Activities to do on Universal Children´s Day

Universal Children´s Day was first established in 1954 by the United Nations on a day like today, November 20th, in order to promote unity and international awareness of children´s rights. UNICEF coordinates this special day and encourages us to participate in improving the welfare of children all over the world. There are still too many who  do not enjoy their full rights and there is still a lot to do. We, as parents, should help our children become aware.

Aúrea Ferreres is the person responsible for political incidence, sensitization and campaigns at Save the Children, an independent organization that works in more than 120 countries worldwide saving lives, providing security and protection to children and defending their rights as part of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This month, we dedicate our Wishmakers section to her and this organization that is at the forefront of children´s rights in the world.
